Sema Agirman (35)

After completing my Business Administration studies at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, I joined the Management Traineeship programme at TNT Post. I worked there as HR advisor and Training & Development advisor. I am the mother of Mert (7) and Melda (4). After the birth of Melda I decided to quit work. I enjoyed this intensive and inspiring early years of my kids and decided to work professionally with children to contribute to their development. That led me to decide to switch to the childcare sector and to start an After School Care organisation with a focus on sports and outdoor activities. I also enrolled to the study to become pedagogical employee myself and gain the necessary professional knowledge. After School Care Ockenburgh works with sports instructors and pedagogical staff who enjoy being outside as much as our kids do, if not even more!

Tessa Tramper (24)

Hello! I am Tessa Tramper and I work at Afterschoolcare Ockenburgh. I am 24 years old and I live together with my boyfriend Wesley, my two dogs Hugo and Hunter and my two rabbits Kees en Claasje in The Hague. I play handball since I was 8 and currently I am with first ladies team of HV Hellas. I also train boys and girls U-13 at HV Hellas. In additon, I do horseback riding since I was 7. After highschool I studied to work at a child day care/afterschoolcare, after that I went to The Hague University of Applied Siences to study Sportmanagement. I have also English B2 qualification. My goal is to get children to experience a lot of different sports, and play outside and in the nature as much as possible (to the extent weather conditions allow)!

Fenita

My name is Fenita, I’m 25 years old and I grew up in Vollenhove, a small town in Overijsel (nearby Giethoorn) where I lived until I was 19. My whole family is very sporty and as a child I used to play outside a lot. This is one of the reasons why I started the study ‘CIOS Outdoor Sports’. During this study my passion for sports in nature, and especially in teaching in this field, has grown even more. After I graduated, I travelled for a year and after that I started the study ‘ALO’ in Groningen. During this study I explored the effects of sports in nature. What I’ve noticed the most was how big the gap between children and nature has become. Children are spending their time mostly inside and experience nature often as dirty or dangerous, while exercising in a natural environment has so many positive effects. This has motivated me even more to dive into this and that is why I’m very happy that I’ve found a workplace that fully matches my vision. From June I will be working at after school care Ockenburgh and I can’t wait to start this new adventure and spend a lot of time outside with the children!
